A neighborhood ranch, reimagined.
The aim of this project was to resurrect a destitute 80+ year-old ranch in a close-knit neighborhood. While it did require removing the old to begin again, recycling and salvaging what could be saved, the architect and ESJ worked closely to model the new after the old with some modern amenities and contemporary details. All of this was done with Passive House-inspired techniques in the airtight envelope, with exterior insulation and mechanized ventilation systems behind the scenes.
